Our Year 10 students had an inspiring visit from Joanna Jensen, founder of Child’s Farm.
Joanna shared her journey as an entrepreneur and offered valuable advice on the qualities needed to achieve success. Students also took part in a lively Q&A session, asking thoughtful questions about business, creativity, and resilience.

We were delighted to receive copies of Joanna’s book “Making Business Child’s Play”, a fantastic resource to continue inspiring our young people!

We are so proud of our students for their amazing work in last week’s STEM workshops! 

Our students tested their engineering skills by recreating different types of bridges and learning why each design is used. Then, they put their creativity to the test by designing and building their own bridges to see which could hold the most weight. Students also got hands-on with technology by dismantling Dyson vacuum cleaners to discover how they work. 

It was fantastic to see curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills in action – well done to all our brilliant students!

As we reflect on last Thursday’s Growth Mindset Day, we were delighted to see our students immerse themselves in creativity, showcasing their artistic talents and experiencing what it truly feels like to be an artist for the day.

They began with an Expressive Clay Workshop, exploring creativity through hands-on design and imagination. In Session 2, students worked collaboratively to create a School Mural, with designs inspired by our school ethos, character virtues, and house emblems — a brilliant example of teamwork and shared pride. The day finished with an inspiring Kandinsky Workshop, where colour, shape, and emotion came together beautifully.

It was amazing to see so much creativity, collaboration, and compassion shown throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of the way students supported one another and embraced the creative process.

Year 8 and Year 9 students had the opportunity to learn about D‑Day during a visit to The D‑Day Story in Portsmouth.

Students got up close to several historic vehicles while learning about the stories of key individuals involved. Gustav the carrier pigeon was a particular highlight for many!

The day was rounded off with a short stop at Clarence Pier, giving students time to unwind after engaging with such an emotional and powerful part of history.
