Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope you have all managed to keep safe and well during the recent period of extreme weather warnings and the associated risk to life.
Thank you for your understanding and support. While temperatures have been high across the region, classroom environments become significantly hotter when occupied by 30 students and staff, making conditions increasingly challenging and potentially unhealthy when temperatures exceed 30°C.
With this in mind, and based on the current Met Office forecast, we are planning to open to students tomorrow morning at the normal time, but only until 11:30am, following the same arrangements that were in place on Tuesday. Students will attend school for Lessons 1–3, after which they will return home and complete Lessons 4–5 online.
We are grateful for your ongoing support in ensuring that students travel safely to and from school and arrive appropriately prepared for the warm weather conditions.
Uniform Expectations
To support student comfort and wellbeing, the following temporary uniform arrangements remain in place:
Students are also encouraged to bring:
We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and communicate any further updates should circumstances change.
Students will be allowed to continue wearing PE kit next week.
Thank you again for your understanding, cooperation and continued support.
Kind Regards,
Lee Morgans
Deputy Headteacher
