This week the Community Policing Team will be carrying out Operation Sceptre which is the national anti-knife crime initiative. During the week the Community Policing Team will be in all Swindon schools carrying out a range of talks and activities.
Year 7 students visited Ridgeway School to see author &UK Patron of Reading, Joffre White. he gave a talk about his life, writing, reading & the heroes who are all round us. he said 'You are the author of the story of your life. Chase your dreams, be kind, be a Hero to someone'
Our Headteacher, Mrs Bareham was proud to be nominated by Sir Robert Buckland MP to attend a reception for Community Leaders in Education at 10 Downing Street where she met the Rt Hon Damian Hinds (Minister of State at the Department of Education).

Kiera and Olivia, the winners of our Swindon Youth Festival of Literature Illustration competition, had the amazing opportunity of attending the winners workshop at Swindon Central Library with the author/illustrator Steve Antony. 24 students from schools across Swindon.
Year 10 enjoyed using biscuits to learn about Structure and Form in their GCSE music lessons this week! 🍪🎶
Y7 had an adventurous time exploring the sand dunes of Berrow. The students investigated plant coverage & wind speed of the fixed dunes &their role as a coastal defence. Then moved to Burnham on Sea where they completed field sketches & surveys. A fun time was had by all.
