Over 80 of our Y9 – Y11 students took part in a STEM day run by engineering branches of the army. The students had to work in teams to solve problems and think like engineers, working out solutions to tasks. It was great to see the groups of students work in mixed age groups, interact with each other and ask questions to our visitors. Many had to step out of their comfort zone so their resilience and confidence was tested all day. Feedback from the army engineers was very positive and it was wonderful to see the Dorcan students make us proud!
